This week's "How Too" Thursday focuses on gamification with two videos.
First up, The Extra Credits take on gamification. This is a great overview with social commentary (Gamification is coming in a big way - is that a good thing?)
Second, from InfoQ, an interview with Michelle Andreassen that includes a simple definition and and a simple breakdown of the parts and pieces of gamification (Points, Badges, Leaderboards): http://www.infoq.com/interviews/andreassen-enterprise-gamification
Michelle's interview is on InfoQ and I can't figure out how to embed the flash video, so please follow the link above.
Now, go out and gamify for good!
I believe that projects are everywhere, ubiquitous, and that it is in the thousands of projects I see everyday that I can have the greatest impact. I work to be a constant source of positive reinforcement and encouragement to everyone working on projects, posting six days a week to share good news, good thoughts, and great projects with my project peers.

UI Design Process demystified - InfoQ Presentation
Chris Nodder gave an awesome presentation on how to create a UI design (Product Design) in a week at GOTO-2012. The presentation is available on infoq.com. If you want to watch this (over an hour) use the InfoQ viewer - it shows video of the speaker and images of the slides side-by-side for a very nice viewing experience.

Jean Tabaka's Keynote - PDU Opportunity
We've been exploring simplicity - today I watched a keynote discussing complexity theory in agile organizations. The Keynote is offered on the InfoQ site and is worth 45 minutes of your time. Here is the link: Keynote: Applying Design Thinking and Complexity Theory in Agile Organizations.
and here is my favorite image from the keynote:
This graphic is awesome and deserves some research and a post of its own - I'll put that on my to do list.
Don't forget to claim 1/2 PDU if you take the time to watch this :)
