There is an interesting wiki on SCRUM on the Eclipse.org site. I think this rates an addition to our SCRUM references list.
http://epf.eclipse.org/wikis/scrum/index.htm
Clicking through this wiki takes about 20 minutes and reinforces the Scrum information from the other sources on our Scrum References List.

I believe that projects are everywhere, ubiquitous, and that it is in the thousands of projects I see everyday that I can have the greatest impact. I work to be a constant source of positive reinforcement and encouragement to everyone working on projects, posting six days a week to share good news, good thoughts, and great projects with my project peers.

Scrum on a Page
Found another nice Scrum resource today - from Bill Wake's XP123.com site - Scrum on a page.
Here is a link to the PDF version - he also published in DOC format - both under a creative commons license. This one belongs on our Scrum References list (see below).

Another good intro to Scrum video
Here is another good and short introduction to Scrum video from Collabnet. If I keep finding/reading/watching Scrum references each day I should have it down pat soon :)

Scrumpedia.com
On my journey to learn Scrum, I came across scrumpedia.com. The concept is great, but this is just not catching on. It is intended to be the encyclopedia of Scrum and shows good organization and web design, but . . .
Scrumpedia fails to attractive good content. At least one article on the site is top notch, that is "Scrum: The Silver Mirror" by Mike Dwyer. The remaining content is lacking and not of sufficient quality to suggest a return.
Summary - Scrumpedia.com, in its current state, does not make the Scrum References List.

Scrum Practitioner's Group at LinkedIn
I hope that everyone had a safe and happy Christmas holiday. I'm headed back to work tomorrow - I expect a quiet and productive day.
In reaching out to learn Scrum - I came across and joined the LinkedIn group called Scrum Practitioners. After a few hours, I've decided that this group belongs on our Scum Resources list (Find the updated list below).

Crazy about SCRUM
I have been excited about Scrum since I first learned of it. I find Scrum concepts and language working their way into my projects at every opportunity. This is the first of a series of posts about scrum - each will contain a growing list of references (with links) for further study.
This first Scrum post introduces the Scrum Guide (new July 2011 version) and embeds a nice 8 minute video that introduces the concepts.
The Scrum guide is a fast read (17 pages) that explains the Scrum process framework. I highly recommend that every IT PM read and become familiar with this material. Find a link in the Scrum References list below.
Here is the video - watch it often :)
