Let's Try Emotional Correctness

I love this inspiring TED Talk from Sally Kohn.  I'm aware that people I love and respect have very different political views, and sometimes mussel myself to avoid stress.  Sally calls for Emotional Correctness, which I take to be the intersection of Political Correctness and Emotional Intelligence.

Great job Sally!

Inspired: Gary Slutkin - Let's Treat Violence like a Contagious Disease

This week's inspirational post is Gary Slutkin's TED Talk "Let's Treat Violence like a Contagious Disease."   This is a great example of cross pollination between disciplines.

What disciplines can we, as Project Managers" learn from?

Sunday Inspiration - Peter van Manen

This week's inspirational post features a TED talk by Peter van Manen.  "How can Formula 1 racing help . . . babies?"

In the talk, Peter describes taking concepts, practices and software from the auto racing industry and applying them to medical care for infants.  I find myself thinking about how we can transfer the same concepts and practices to project management.

". . .  25,000 things that can go wrong."
"Always changing the car, always trying to make it faster."
"When things start to go bad, you have a short time to make a difference."
